All right, it is October 13th, 2021, and the time is 757. And I'm going to call the Vineyard Redevelopment Agency Board meeting to | 00:00:05
order. I have a consent agenda that needs a motion. | 00:00:11
Move, We approve. The consent agenda is. | 00:00:19
In the second, all second, all in favor. Aye. OK, Discussion Action 3.1 is a redevelopment Agency director contract. How do you | 00:00:22
have the opportunity to look after over it? Would anybody like to make any commentary on this? It's to recommend to appoint Jake | 00:00:27
McCarthy as the director. And George, would you like to do a little presentation on it or anything? If I could just speak to it | 00:00:33
for a moment, please Madam Chair. | 00:00:39
And board. So as Mr. Blackburn presented earlier in the Council meeting, you know transitions can be very tough and things can | 00:00:46
fall through the cracks and unfortunately. | 00:00:52
That has done so with the Heritage Commission and we'll do everything we can to write that. | 00:00:59
However, with the importance of the RDA and the amount of money involved, we can't have things fall through the cracks. | 00:01:03
And we have a new finance director I I've spoken with with David and you know he will be. | 00:01:12
Prepared to take over as RDA director, if that's what you also choose. | 00:01:20
But I think it's just important to provide the continuity of keeping Jake's knowledge in the RDA and transfer that as best as | 00:01:26
possible. And I think the best way we can do that is through attending him as the RDA Director. I think I'll make a comment to | 00:01:34
that. I think it was contract provides the ability for stability, but it also if a new council comes in and wants to see those | 00:01:42
changes or the assistance that Jake is providing to that little RDA team is going well and he sees that transition changing out. | 00:01:50
There's the flexibility of the 10 days in there and I think that could come to a peaceful resolution of departure if it needed to | 00:01:58
happen that way, but this gives us time until. | 00:02:04
June, right, to have a full transition, was it 200 July, something like that? So that would be my commentary on it. Any other | 00:02:10
comments from you guys? | 00:02:15
I'll make a motion, OK, I'll make a motion to approve the appointment of Jacob Mccarg as the Vineyard RDA Director and allow the | 00:02:22
RDA chair to sign the consultancy agreement as presented. | 00:02:27
Second, all in favor, aye, OK, discussion action traffic signal on a Vineyard connector on Main Street. So we just heard this | 00:02:32
presentation, presentation by Naseem is Naseem, is there anything that you'd like to discuss with the RDA further? | 00:02:39
Again, the same Adora City Engineer, Friendly City Engineer. | 00:02:47
Now, in regards to this. | 00:02:53
Again, as I'm sure. | 00:02:57
Chair. | 00:03:01 | |
You can call me Julie. | 00:03:06
Has addressed it. In essence, is aligned to what was presented to the Council. The only different documents in this here than | 00:03:09
wasn't the previous one is a. | 00:03:14
Is a cost estimate that was completed by city staff in regards to what the cost breakdowns would be that would reflect the cost of | 00:03:20
that signal forward signal and then also reducing the total cost and reducing it out of the and reducing subtracting E dot portion | 00:03:26
of it. | 00:03:31 | |
All right. | 00:03:39 | |
That was my actually question to Tice. I just noticed in the sample motion up above, it says recommendation staff recommends | 00:03:42
already board approve and fund the agreement. But I didn't see the funding aspect and the budget in the sample motion. So do we | 00:03:47
need to add that or not? | 00:03:52
Why don't I add it? | 00:03:59
OK, I think that would be. Is that fair? Is there any comments? No. Good. OK, I'm going to make the motion to approve Madam Chair | 00:04:01
former to sign the interlocal agreement between U dot and the city for the installation of a four way traffic signal at Venue | 00:04:08
Connector Road and Main Street and a proven fund the proposed budget associated with this. Can I get a second second all in favor? | 00:04:14
Aye. And then I just need a motion to adjourn. | 00:04:21
2nd Thank you so much for coming tonight. | 00:04:28
Thank you. | 00:04:35 |
