  • Chair Fullmer turned time over to Redevelopment Agency Director Josh Daniels, who gave a presentation on the proposed tentative budget.
  • Chair Fullmer commented on the process moving forward before the next meeting, as well as expectations that the board would take the time to look over the information that was provided. She also encouraged board members to meet with staff with any questions and gather public comments before the public hearing on the tentative budget.
  • Motion: BOARD MEMBER CLAWSON MOVED TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED TENTATIVE FISCAL YEAR25-2026 BUDGET AS PRESENTED AND SCHEDULED A PUBLIC HEARING FOR MAY,25. BOARD MEMBER SIFUENTES SECONDED THE MOTION. So this is the this is the budget schedule, the proposed tentative budget for next fiscal year. 00:02:45
Couple of things I'll point out at the top. 00:02:51
Total revenue here. 00:02:54
From property tax increment so previously. 00:02:56
$9.5 million, next year, $12.6 million. The reason for that change is because that's what we anticipate collecting an incremental 00:03:00
revenue based on. 00:03:06
Commencing increment collection or triggering additional parcels for portions of those phases that were discussed in the previous 00:03:12
meeting. 00:03:17
So based on. 00:03:21
Our collection projections, that's what we anticipate revenue to be. 00:03:23
And and what that is important for. 00:03:27
Is our ongoing reimbursement for various activities, a lot of which is environmental remediation. 00:03:30
And so that will continue to fund that that work. 00:03:37
Other than that, there's not any significant changes to the budget year over year, just that revenue amount and then you know 00:03:41
those expenses will come from that, that environmental. 00:03:47
Work that's going on as well as other development. 00:03:53
In terms of capital expenses, those are. 00:03:59
Essentially rolled over year over year if they're not spent, if those projects aren't actually. 00:04:02
