I call this meeting to order December 20. 00:00:00
December 9th, 2025 at 4:40 PM. 00:00:03
So. 00:00:06
First, we'll go with the Four S Bike Lane and Restriping Project presentation by. 00:00:08
Patrick in the scene. 00:00:14
And then we'll follow up by. 00:00:16
With business items for. 00:00:19
SOAP business items. We've got the 2026 ATC meeting schedule. 00:00:22
And yeah, we'll get started with Patrick. 00:00:27
Alright. 00:01:25
So yeah, we can. We can show you a little bit of. 00:01:29
About what's going on along 404 Hundred South. 00:01:32
As you probably know. 00:01:37
A lot of this has already been. 00:01:42
Put in place but. 00:01:45
We were we tried to present on this. 00:01:47
A while ago, but it didn't workout. 00:01:51
But I'll start by showing you this. 00:01:56
This plan here. 00:01:58
This is kind of what sparked a lot of the. 00:02:00
The redesign or. 00:02:04
Or the. 00:02:05
What we're trying to accomplish on on 4th South. 00:02:07
So this is the. 00:02:12
Entrance or the intersection at? 00:02:13
With Vineyard Elementary and Lakeside Park. 00:02:16
As you know. 00:02:20
The currently the. You can kind of see it in the background a little bit, the. 00:02:21
The entrance to the park. 00:02:25
Is offset. 00:02:27
From the road. 00:02:29
To the South. 00:02:31
And so it creates a very awkward. 00:02:32
Intersection and just. 00:02:35
Unsafe environment. 00:02:38
For pedestrians and vehicles. 00:02:40
And so we're working on. 00:02:43
This project. 00:02:45
In conjunction with UDOT. 00:02:47
Console engineers are the design engineers for this project, and we've also teamed with Orem City. 00:02:51
Since Orem City owns. 00:02:58
They essentially own the north half of 400 S and we own the South half. 00:03:01
They own. 00:03:07
Lakeside Park. 00:03:09
And we own. 00:03:11
The elementary school and. 00:03:12
This neighborhood down here. 00:03:14
So this is. 00:03:18
The bulk of the project is to realign. 00:03:20
Realign this intersection and then. 00:03:23
To further add. 00:03:25
Pedestrian safety were we decided to put in a traffic signal. 00:03:28
We were hoping for something like a roundabout, but it just it wasn't feasible. 00:03:33
So we landed on the traffic signal. 00:03:39
But this will. 00:03:42
This will create a much safer environment for pedestrians to to cross at this location. 00:03:43
And then? 00:03:52
I guess before I move on, are there any questions on that? 00:03:54
Yeah, yeah, it's a weird situation. 00:04:05
Then I'll go to the. 00:04:10
These striping plans here. So this is the portion that's already been implemented. 00:04:16
Like I said, we were trying to. 00:04:22
We were trying to. 00:04:23
Present on this a while ago but just didn't workout. 00:04:25
So you can kind of see. 00:04:31
The background. 00:04:35
Of these plans and as you probably all. 00:04:36
Recall. 00:04:39
Before there was a median. 00:04:41
Turn Lane. 00:04:44
In the road. 00:04:46
So it was essentially A3 lane Rd. 00:04:47
With the median. 00:04:51
Orem and we. 00:04:54
We had been trying to figure out how to create. 00:04:58
That's it. Or make this road safer and, and this was. 00:05:01
Kind of the. 00:05:05
One quick and simple. 00:05:06
Solution. 00:05:08
And so Orem kind of pushed this through. They, they put this design together and, and pushed this through and, and. 00:05:10
Got rid of that. 00:05:17
Center median and just created a 2 lane Rd. 00:05:18
With bike lanes. 00:05:22
So this is the typical. We can go through each sheet, but this is the typical. 00:05:24
Cross section. 00:05:28
All the way down the road and. 00:05:31
At this point. 00:05:34
And just for future reference. 00:05:36
We are currently designing redesigning this intersection at 400 S and Holdaway Rd. 00:05:39
And then we're currently. 00:05:46
Designing. 00:05:48
I think the widening of 400 S to the West which will connect into the holdaway. 00:05:50
Holloway fields development. 00:05:55
And so we're planning that that would. 00:05:58
That road will be widened and paved. 00:06:01
This next spring, maybe April, May. 00:06:04
Somewhere in there. 00:06:08
And so with that, we're correcting this crosswalk we're going to make. 00:06:09
We're going to straighten that crosswalk. 00:06:14
And then we're going to put a crosswalk across Holdaway Rd. as well. 00:06:17
And then the. 00:06:23
400 S to the West will look. 00:06:24
Will look pretty much this exact same cross section. 00:06:27
It'll have a park strip on the South side. 00:06:31
And then? 00:06:33
A trail on the Northside which will. 00:06:35
It just looks like a wide sidewalk, but it's. 00:06:37
Kind of a trail. 00:06:41
So it'll be the same cross section all the way through. 00:06:43
All the way through. 00:06:47
To hold away fields development. 00:06:48
With that intersection. 00:06:52
So you're saying the crosswalk we would make it actually perpendicular to? 00:06:56
Yeah. Would we change that? 00:07:01
Curb cut, That's on the. 00:07:04
South Side. 00:07:08
The bottom. 00:07:09
Of the screen here. 00:07:10
Yeah, essentially the crosswalk will now look something like this. 00:07:12
OK. And there is going to be a ramp? 00:07:17
In this area now. 00:07:20
So that we're going to put a ramp right there. 00:07:22
OK. And I believe we're changing this up so that there's more of a ramp. 00:07:25
Kind of directional ramps. 00:07:33
Yeah, great. 00:07:35
So there's going to be a ramp here and then a ramp over here. 00:07:36
And then with another crosswalk that goes. 00:07:41
Goes this way across Holdaway Rd. 00:07:44
Awesome, So something like that. So we'll remove. 00:07:48
This crosswalk and remove this ramp. 00:07:51
Just to square that all off and. 00:07:56
You can make it make sense. 00:07:59
Yeah, for sure. 00:08:01
That'll still be a. 00:08:02
Just to stop sign on. 00:08:04
On Holdaway Road. 00:08:06
Yeah, we. 00:08:09
I believe that's what it will be, just a stop sign southbound on Holdaway Road. 00:08:11
We may go through a traffic study to see if. 00:08:17
If stop signs in the other directions are warranted. 00:08:20
It's just based on traffic flow, but yeah, sure. 00:08:24
So we may go through that that exercise, but. 00:08:27
I believe right now we just have a stop sign. 00:08:31
OK. And then these? 00:08:36
Sorry, there's a lot of questions. 00:08:38
The the on street bike lanes here you're saying? 00:08:40
Those will. 00:08:43
Persist even in the. 00:08:44
Previous slide. 00:08:46
So both westward and eastward. 00:08:49
Through that new. 00:08:52
Signal. 00:08:54
Yeah, intersection. 00:08:55
It gets a little bit weird through the through the signaled intersection to the east and we can look at that a little bit. 00:08:57
But yes, to the West, we'll have a bike lane. We'll have bike lanes on on either side all the way to Main Street, Yeah. 00:09:04
To the West. 00:09:11
And then we can look at the next sheets on this. 00:09:13
To see as you as you head east, it's. 00:09:17
Essentially the same cross section. 00:09:21
Yeah, this won't. This won't show the. 00:09:24
This is the old. 00:09:30
Configuration of that intersection, so we're not showing the new one. 00:09:32
We can jump back and look at that a little bit. 00:09:38
But you can see here how. 00:09:41
How ridiculous and crazy it is, right? 00:09:43
Yeah, pretty wild. 00:09:46
Orem wanted to maintain. 00:09:49
So technically there was just this, just a kind of a side note, technically there was no legal. 00:09:52
Street parking to the West of this intersection. 00:09:58
Ever. There definitely is not now as well with the bike lanes. 00:10:01
Orem wanted to maintain from this point. 00:10:07
To the east. 00:10:11
To maintain street parking on that side. 00:10:12
For the park. 00:10:15
And then of course we have kind of this little drop off lane. 00:10:17
For this for the school. 00:10:20
Which will be maintained. 00:10:22
Yeah, parking is terrible at. 00:10:26
Yeah. So we kind of go down that way. 00:10:29
And then this is an. 00:10:34
Kind of an odd intersection as well that we've been trying to figure out. 00:10:36
What to do with this intersection as well? 00:10:42
There's other. 00:10:45
There's one more page on here. 00:10:47
So this is just leading up to Geneva. Nothing really changed. 00:10:49
Up in this area. 00:10:53
But at this intersection, we've gone through a study. 00:10:58
I believe we've received the results of this study. 00:11:02
But we haven't had time to review it. We just barely received it. 00:11:07
But we we put to. 00:11:12
We wanted to put together a study. 00:11:14
To see what. 00:11:16
What would happen if we put a crosswalk? 00:11:18
Either. 00:11:21
Right here. 00:11:22
Or a little bit to the West. 00:11:26
You know, maybe. 00:11:31
Maybe doing a crosswalk? 00:11:33
Right here, something like that. 00:11:35
I'm all over the place here. 00:11:38
Anyway, the challenges with this are. 00:11:43
The uh. 00:11:46
This parking lot here. 00:11:47
It's just kind of in a weird location with the street going to the north. 00:11:49
And the intersection at Geneva is fairly close to this intersection, so. 00:11:55
Holding up traffic. 00:12:00
Going westbound can be a challenge and. 00:12:03
But we, like I said, we went through a study to see what the feasibility of that would be. 00:12:08
We're also kind of. 00:12:15
Talking with the school. 00:12:16
To see if we can. 00:12:18
Do something different with this with this parking lot. 00:12:20
Perhaps. 00:12:24
Closing it off. 00:12:24
And doing a. 00:12:26
You can see drawn in here like another drive. 00:12:28
Driveway so that they come from. 00:12:31
The. 00:12:33
The driveway to the West and and drive into here. 00:12:34
Or just changing this to a write in write out. 00:12:39
Situation so people. 00:12:43
So we wouldn't have this left turn lane coming. 00:12:44
Crossing the entire intersection to turn left into here. 00:12:47
Things like that we're we're kind of looking at. 00:12:51
At those options. 00:12:53
But going back to this intersection, so there is a trail that exists along the north side already. 00:13:01
So that will be maintained. 00:13:09
The idea is that we can that we kind of pick up that trail. 00:13:11
And continue it on. 00:13:15
And we'll have the trail that will go all the way down. 00:13:17
To Main Street. 00:13:20
And then potentially something that goes up Holloway Rd. as well. 00:13:22
But I think with this configuration. 00:13:27
The bike lane would end up. 00:13:30
Would end up. 00:13:33
Being a shared lane through the intersection right here. 00:13:34
Welcome Which? 00:13:37
I think for safety that's that's kind of. 00:13:40
You don't have a lot of options when you're going through an intersection unless you get really fancy, but. 00:13:43
Yeah. 00:13:48
Are there any questions on this portion? 00:13:54
I think if you were to ask the average. 00:13:57
Vineyard. 00:14:01
Forum Resident. 00:14:01
There is currently a crossing at that corner. They would probably say yes. 00:14:03
I have totally done that. 00:14:08
Yeah, I I haven't reviewed the entire study, but I started to read it. 00:14:11
And it said that several people. 00:14:16
While they were doing this study, they set up a camera. 00:14:18
And they they saw. 00:14:21
Several people crossing right there. 00:14:22
And even people. 00:14:25
Parents were parking on the Northside of that road and walking their kids across the street to the school. 00:14:27
And he's and. 00:14:33
It also mentioned that during that time that they were with the camera. 00:14:35
There were several near near miss acts. Near near miss. 00:14:39
Accidents there. 00:14:43
So it's definitely a. 00:14:45
A safety hazard? Yeah, a safety hazard. There's some. 00:14:48
Something needs to be done, but it's it, like I said, it's kind of just a challenge, challenging spot, yeah. 00:14:52
I think it, I think there's. 00:14:59
An added complexity and. 00:15:00
Evening or after the sun goes down. 00:15:02
And the lights at the ballpark turn on. 00:15:05
They tend to cast. 00:15:09
There's lights and then there's tall trees and. 00:15:10
The lights cast perfectly. 00:15:13
Position very dark shadow right at. 00:15:15
Along that stretch of Rd. 00:15:19
That further exacerbates the problem. 00:15:21
You know, that's a really good comment. I can, I can talk to Orem about that. 00:15:25
Yeah, if there's. I mean, if there's not. 00:15:32
Like umm. 00:15:34
An easy Rd. 00:15:35
Reconfiguration. 00:15:38
Even just St. lighting. 00:15:39
Yeah, could help. 00:15:41
We've been trying to think of something. 00:15:44
To slow traffic down as they come off of Geneva right here. Like whether? 00:15:47
Whether it's a crosswalk or. 00:15:53
Even like some kind of monument type. 00:15:56
Type thing, you know, even just a monument off the side of the road that just catches your eye. 00:15:58
It's just just something like that. 00:16:05
That helps. 00:16:07
Drivers kind of be aware of what they're coming into. 00:16:08
Yeah. But yeah, we've we've been trying to think of. 00:16:13
Several different things, but. 00:16:16
I think we also need the flashing pedestrian lights too for that. 00:16:17
That cross, yeah, if if we do a crosswalk here, we would definitely have flashing lights for it. 00:16:22
You know, because, yeah, people really do like they come in. 00:16:28
To 4th South and just try and go straight. 00:16:32
You know, there's not much slowdown there. 00:16:35
Yeah, the hill doesn't help anything there coming down on it. 00:16:40
I actually kind of like. 00:16:45
The idea of pushing the. 00:16:47
The crosswalk back maybe over into this area, I think that's safer. 00:16:49
Yeah, with, with those, with those flashing beacon pedestrian. 00:16:54
Lights. 00:16:58
You don't. 00:17:01
Really want to have it too close to an intersection. 00:17:02
Because the cars that are. 00:17:06
That are turning. 00:17:07
Can't really see the lights. 00:17:09
And we could put up other signage saying that there's a crosswalk and things like that to try to draw their attention, but. 00:17:12
Yeah, I mean it's. 00:17:20
Yeah, we would definitely have a flashing beacon, but. 00:17:22
Like the PED crossing paint? 00:17:28
2 I don't know, just different cues for drivers. 00:17:30
Yeah. 00:17:36
We'll definitely do the crosswalk. 00:17:38
Striping, are you talking like a different color or where it just says like pad? 00:17:41
Cross Oh, like the sign, yeah. Or the just yeah, right on this. Yeah, yeah, we could do that. 00:17:46
Did you have any? 00:17:55
Comments on this Neo I think. 00:17:55
You probably use this road more than. 00:17:57
Anybody in the room here? 00:17:59
That's true. That's true. 00:18:01
Yeah, I definitely. 00:18:03
That intersection before. 00:18:05
But the back. 00:18:28
The more westward 1. 00:18:29
Takes them closer to the school. 00:18:30
Yeah, I, I think, I think. 00:18:41
1st we. 00:18:45
We'll need to review the study that we did just to see if. 00:18:46
It's feasible enough to have a crosswalk in this area. 00:18:50
Without interfering with Geneva. 00:18:54
And then we could probably dive into more details on. 00:18:56
On what the better location would be? 00:18:59
Turning left onto. 00:19:16
Oh, I see. Yeah. Oh yeah. 00:19:20
Oh right, so in this. 00:19:23
This lady go left. 00:19:25
Sometimes people go. 00:19:29
It just takes up. 00:19:32
MMM. 00:19:39
Yeah, I have heard that complaint. 00:19:41
Excuse me, I even heard that. 00:19:46
Somebody made this suggestion. 00:19:48
So this. 00:19:51
This painting is actually not what it is right now. 00:19:52
So this it used to be just a single left turn. 00:19:55
But then it got turned into a double right or a double left. 00:19:58
Turned and somebody suggested just going back to a single. 00:20:02
To reduce that confusion. 00:20:07
Uh, he seemed like he seemed to think it would work better, but. 00:20:10
I think with the volume of traffic that double left is definitely better. 00:20:14
But yeah, that's, I mean, that's a good comment. Like we can try to see if there's there's something we can do to help that out. 00:20:20
One thing that we. 00:20:29
I wasn't sure if I wanted to mention this, but. 00:20:31
This plot of land. 00:20:35
There's a potential for this plot of land. 00:20:38
To be developed and have an entrance right here. 00:20:40
But I gave them the requirement if there is an entrance, it's a write in write out. 00:20:45
Situation only. 00:20:50
And then they. 00:20:52
I would want them to put a concrete curb. 00:20:54
Along this center stripe. 00:20:56
So that people physically can't turn left out of. 00:21:01
That will help just kind of delineate a little bit. 00:21:06
Between the. 00:21:09
Between the different lanes and kind of create some safety there. 00:21:10
Probably wouldn't really help much for pedestrians or. 00:21:15
The queuing but. 00:21:18
Just thought I'd point that out. 00:21:21
Yeah. Is there any possibility of? 00:21:25
Of cutting it out a little bit. 00:21:28
So that we could have. 00:21:31
A little expansion on the lanes. 00:21:33
I don't know. 00:21:36
If that would be weird. 00:21:36
But expansion of so making the left turn lanes wider. 00:21:39
Add the right. 00:21:44
So let's see. 00:21:47
Right now, that right turn lane. 00:21:49
Right. Yeah, Yeah, that's because of this slope, yeah. 00:21:55
Maybe this is where you're saying? 00:21:59
The corner, yeah. 00:22:03
Yep. 00:22:11
I could look into. 00:22:23
I think what would help the most, at least for the vehicle queuing is if we if we expect if we widened it back here. 00:22:29
And I'd have to look into it, but I. 00:22:38
I don't know if we'd be able to. 00:22:41
To do anything. 00:22:43
On that end. 00:22:45
Like this? 00:22:50
Oh yeah. 00:22:59
You don't just. 00:23:03
Doesn't do like roundabouts at intersections like this. 00:23:05
Is that just the? 00:23:10
Not something that they're. 00:23:12
They're ever interested in. 00:23:13
Something like that. 00:23:15
No. Well. 00:23:17
So I I originally thought that you dot would. 00:23:20
Would have more more of an opinion actually on this intersection than they than they. 00:23:23
Do because. 00:23:28
It is very close to Geneva. 00:23:30
But they kind of. 00:23:33
Have taken the stance whatever. 00:23:35
Whatever, you guys get it to work. 00:23:37
It's your intersection pretty much. 00:23:39
But there there is a concern with putting a roundabout or a traffic light at this intersection because you you probably will get 00:23:43
back up. 00:23:47
When cars are stopped here, they'll they'll back up to Geneva. 00:23:53
And you would think that. 00:23:57
You know roundabouts. 00:23:58
Try to keep flowing. 00:24:00
But there will. 00:24:02
Inherently be back up still. 00:24:03
No, Plus roundabouts take up a lot of property. 00:24:06
Like I'm not sure if we would be able to. 00:24:12
Fit 1 here. 00:24:13
We've tried to fit in roundabouts at other intersections and it's just kind of surprising how much property you need. 00:24:16
And it it just. 00:24:22
It's never been feasible. 00:24:24
We've tried. 00:24:27
We were, I think I mentioned we were looking at doing a roundabout here. 00:24:28
But you'd end up having to put a roundabout like way up into this space. 00:24:32
And you know, we had space here, but it would have. 00:24:38
Increase the cost quite a bit. 00:24:41
Yeah, we were looking at doing a roundabout at. 00:24:43
600 N and. 00:24:48
Main Street, but we couldn't fit one there either. 00:24:50
But fortunately, we're able to do this, the traffic light there. 00:24:53
Yeah, yeah. 00:24:57
The other question I had so that. 00:25:04
Property on the corner. 00:25:06
We talked about their. 00:25:08
Parking there. 00:25:11
That's a different property than. 00:25:12
The one directly West of it, right there's. 00:25:14
Correct. Yeah. 00:25:17
That my understanding is this field right here is owned by the school. 00:25:18
So they use it as soccer fields. 00:25:22
And so you can kind of see a fence line right here. 00:25:25
So that delineates the properties. 00:25:29
I see. 00:25:32
Yeah, yeah. So maybe a. 00:25:33
I was thinking someday that would be developed but sounds like no. 00:25:36
Yeah, I can peruse the county. 00:25:40
Man. 00:25:44
But yeah, they're they're different. 00:25:45
Pretty sure that. 00:25:47
Field is owned by the school. 00:25:49
Yeah. 00:25:52
So it shows the school property going all the way to. 00:25:53
To that empty lot. 00:25:56
What are you thinking of? 00:26:08
Well, I was just thinking if. 00:26:10
At that point. 00:26:11
If, if that were to be developed and. 00:26:13
Maybe we could. 00:26:16
Rearrange to have. 00:26:17
The entrance to both parking lots be in a better spot but. 00:26:20
There's not going to be parking lot there. 00:26:24
Yeah, we were. We were even looking at the option of. 00:26:26
Instead of having. 00:26:30
Instead of having the entrance to the parking lot right here to actually line it up. 00:26:31
With the intersection and. 00:26:37
Kind of do something like that. 00:26:39
But there I think there was number interest in. 00:26:41
Taking up that space at all. 00:26:44
Yeah, because it would cut cut into their fields. 00:26:46
Now. 00:26:50
People are very protective of soccer fields. 00:26:53
I guess a resident that uses this road a lot. Have you seen? 00:26:59
Any concerns with the with this new striping? 00:27:03
Like how it's striped currently. 00:27:08
The only concern I. 00:27:11
Those. 00:27:28
I'll encroach it to that. 00:27:34
Is that like like a traffic signal timing thing that we could just ask UDOT to adjust? 00:27:36
The the timing of how long people. 00:27:44
Wait at the left. 00:27:46
Yeah, it really, it really doesn't seem like, I mean, anytime that I've sat and waited at that intersection, doesn't seem like 00:27:51
there's ever that much. 00:27:55
Backup on Geneva northbound. 00:28:00
Or even Southband. 00:28:02
Yeah. So that is a good point. We. 00:28:04
We can we can request. 00:28:07
You dot to to take a look at it. 00:28:10
And they mentioned a even like a safety. 00:28:12
Can't remember where they called it but. 00:28:16
They can do a safety analysis on it as well. 00:28:20
For pedestrian use and whatnot. 00:28:24
I think we can make that request, but I feel like changing. 00:28:28
Changing the timing. 00:28:32
That that's very different from the ordinary is, is something that UDOT kind of frowns upon. 00:28:37
They they kind of look at. 00:28:43
There. So if it's like a Saturday morning congestion type thing, they're like well. 00:28:44
We can live with it if it's just. 00:28:48
One time a week, you know. 00:28:50
Sure. 00:28:52
So they they kind of push back on. 00:28:54
Getting too crazy with it. 00:28:57
OK, but we can talk to him about it. 00:28:59
Yeah. 00:29:02
Really. What? 00:29:05
They should just stagger. 00:29:12
I mean they really pack in events. 00:29:16
When my kids go there. 00:29:20
Everybody. 00:29:22
Like all of the deals? 00:29:23
That's helpful for a lot. 00:29:32
By doing that in chunks. 00:29:38
Yeah. 00:29:43
We might. We might be able to. 00:29:45
Add some some extra stripe. 00:29:47
Kind of doing this situation maybe? 00:29:50
I'm not sure if Orem will go for it. 00:29:53
Or, umm. 00:29:55
Or if it would be very handy, but. 00:29:58
Maybe that would keep people more in the travel lane and out of the bike lane. Maybe. 00:30:01
As they're stacking up. 00:30:06
We can look at that. 00:30:11
Another thing to kind of mention is. 00:30:13
We've really tried to push Orem to address parking issues at Lakeside. 00:30:20
At the Lakeside Park. 00:30:25
And there's. 00:30:27
There's plans to extend their. 00:30:29
Their parking lot into this area. 00:30:31
Over here. 00:30:35
I believe Vineyard actually I should go to this map. 00:30:38
Yeah, so Vineyard actually owns that piece. 00:30:45
So we'll we're. 00:30:49
Working with them to. 00:30:51
To do a land swap or something. 00:30:54
So that they can build. 00:30:56
They can build parking into this space. 00:30:59
That part is right. 00:31:03
I know that was. 00:31:06
Unofficially open I think. 00:31:08
Yeah, I think they just opened it and. 00:31:10
Yeah. 00:31:17
Would be another. 00:31:19
Yeah, they use it for storage, yeah. 00:31:26
Yeah, that has that has been brought up with Orem as well, like. 00:31:29
Potentially, uh. 00:31:33
Putting parking in there. 00:31:35
And then we've been really trying to push them to program. 00:31:37
Actual parking along Vineyard Rd. 00:31:42
That would be great just. 00:31:45
Everybody parks along there anyway, just the free. But yeah, it's a free floor. 00:31:46
Yeah, we thought of that. You know, maybe we get rid of the median lane and and put diagonals on the one side. 00:31:53
To add a lot of parking there. 00:32:00
Especially they did like the back end diagonals. 00:32:03
Yeah, you can actually. 00:32:06
See you when you're pulling out. 00:32:09
Yeah, I honestly don't think there's. 00:32:10
There's probably not a lot of traffic coming into these businesses along here so now. 00:32:13
There's not. 00:32:19
But the the real issue. 00:32:21
Kind of with that is people will park. 00:32:23
Along the street, all the way up into this curve and then. 00:32:25
They're parking on the road and it's. 00:32:28
So it's a nuisance. 00:32:30
Yeah, that. 00:32:32
Curve is hard to. 00:32:33
Navigate. 00:32:36
There's a ton of parking. 00:32:40
Because I feel like I've just been rambling on for a while, but. 00:32:42
Because are there any other questions or? 00:32:44
It's fascinating stuff. 00:32:48
It really, it really is impactful. 00:32:50
On the. 00:32:52
Citizens, Yeah. 00:32:54
Yeah, for sure. 00:32:56
Yeah. I mean, I think that's about all that I have. 00:32:59
Yeah, I think. 00:33:04
Parting shot is reiteration. 00:33:05
I think we. 00:33:08
If we don't end up doing a crosswalk. 00:33:09
There where we have on screen and I feel like. 00:33:11
We need better signage. 00:33:14
Dissuade people from crossing there because it is. 00:33:16
Pretty intuitive to. 00:33:20
Park and cross the road. 00:33:22
Probably there. 00:33:24
I I doubt many people are. 00:33:27
Even considering the risks when the. 00:33:30
When they're doing that and and definitely fewer considering. 00:33:33
Walking farther West across even at our new and improved intersection there. 00:33:37
Which is a great intersection. 00:33:41
But. 00:33:43
Yeah, I think. 00:33:45
Yeah, yeah. I was going to say, I think that's. 00:33:47
Yeah, that's where Sienna. 00:33:50
Crossing. 00:33:52
Yeah, it doesn't take long to. 00:33:54
Sit there and watch. 00:33:56
People's behavior and see a bunch of people crossing there and. 00:33:57
A bunch of. 00:34:01
High risk situations. 00:34:02
When I read the reports that said that. 00:34:06
Parents park on that side and cross with their kids. That that shocked me. 00:34:08
I was, I was like, there's no way I would. 00:34:12
Do that. 00:34:14
You know, like. 00:34:16
Like even if I was walking with my kids like I I wouldn't. 00:34:17
Go through that hassle parking on the opposite side of the road and crossing. 00:34:21
Especially where there is no crosswalk like. 00:34:26
That that seems crazy to me. 00:34:29
I think people see the immediacy of. 00:34:31
And available parking spot in that parking lot. 00:34:33
And the realization that, oh, this is a school parking lot, I can use this, and it's better than going and spending five more 00:34:37
minutes looking for a parking spot in the bigger parking lot. 00:34:41
Yeah, that's the underlying issue. There's not enough. 00:34:46
Parking. 00:34:50
I have heard that people will park in the parking lot at the park. 00:34:51
And their kids will walk. 00:34:54
Over there to. 00:34:56
To get picked up. 00:34:57
Which? 00:35:00
That one doesn't seem as crazy because there is an official crosswalk there, but. 00:35:00
Still, that's. 00:35:05
You know, it's like a way to way and. 00:35:07
We've got a comment from Anthony. 00:35:11
Thank you. I just wanted to add to what Patrick is. 00:35:16
Just explain to all of us. 00:35:19
A lot of coordination. 00:35:22
Has gone into this. 00:35:23
To get just. 00:35:25
You know these lines on the? 00:35:26
Map that you see right here. 00:35:29
It's been. 00:35:31
A lot of meetings. 00:35:32
Engineering team has been wonderful. 00:35:33
Coordinating with planning. 00:35:35
And also. 00:35:37
Udot and you know. 00:35:39
Of course, ARM. 00:35:41
So to get to this point. 00:35:43
I must say that staff. 00:35:45
You know, on behalf of. 00:35:48
Planning department staff is. 00:35:49
Really done a lot of work, especially engineering. 00:35:52
And I want you to know all that effort. That's amazing. 00:35:54
You know, give it up for Patrick and. 00:35:58
You're giving me way too much credit. No, but it's. 00:36:01
Yeah, you, you, you know what's going into it. 00:36:04
Yeah, yeah, it's been weeks and, you know, months of a lot of conversation, conversations. 00:36:06
Yeah, but it's a, it's a unique. 00:36:14
Corridor you have. 00:36:15
You know parts of the. 00:36:17
Land owned by UDOT you have parts of it being owned by. 00:36:19
Vineyard, UMM. 00:36:22
And. 00:36:23
Arm, you know. 00:36:25
And it's in a part of our. 00:36:26
If you take away the park, they don't really care as much. 00:36:29
Because it doesn't affect the bulk of the people that vote for them. 00:36:33
If you think about it that way. 00:36:38
But it means a lot to us because it's a gateway to our city. 00:36:40
So just getting that team together is very challenging but. 00:36:45
It's been successful. 00:36:50
Yeah. 00:36:52
Just so you know, thank you. Can't too much credit. 00:36:53
Make a huge difference, definitely. 00:36:59
Well, thank you. 00:37:02
And it's even going to be better when you see what we have for. 00:37:04
Holdaway Rd. I mean. 00:37:07
For 400 S going into hold away. 00:37:09
Fields development. 00:37:12
It's going to be great. 00:37:14
And I know Patrick is going to be back. 00:37:17
With Naseem talking about that. 00:37:19
As well, Yeah. 00:37:21
That is, you know, in Vineyard, it's a vineyard project, so. 00:37:22
We don't need to work too much with. 00:37:27
Them. But the most important thing is. 00:37:29
This one here is so. 00:37:32
So crucial because. 00:37:34
If we don't get this right, it makes everyone. 00:37:36
Everything else that's happening on the West side. 00:37:39
Not work well. Mm-hmm. 00:37:41
But if we get this right as. 00:37:43
You know, working towards. 00:37:45
Doing right now. 00:37:47
It makes. 00:37:48
What's going to happen on the West Side going into? 00:37:49
Connection to Main Street and you know. 00:37:53
The whole holdaway. 00:37:57
Development and Sleepy Ridge area. 00:38:00
It will make, you know, make so much sense when it all comes together. 00:38:02
I know Patrick will be back with. 00:38:06
The plants because we have a lot going on. 00:38:08
You know, from the staff level. 00:38:12
When working with property owners, that's holdaway fields as well. 00:38:14
To make sure that. 00:38:18
That stretch of. 00:38:20
The road is. 00:38:22
Planned well. 00:38:24
And it takes into consideration. 00:38:25
The needs of. 00:38:28
Everybody. 00:38:30
Not just the roads. 00:38:31
So right. 00:38:32
It's going to be great. 00:38:34
It's a great time to be here in Vineyard. Yep, it is. 00:38:36
All right, so the next item is. 00:38:41
Adopting the 2026. 00:38:45
Meeting calendar. 00:38:48
So we've got every second Tuesday. 00:38:50
Of the month. 00:38:55
Does that sound good to you guys? 00:38:56
Yeah, I think it's worked pretty well this year. I think there's probably some tacit understanding that we. 00:39:00
Will likely cancel a few of these. 00:39:08
As the year progresses? Mm-hmm. 00:39:11
But I think it's easier to play in. 00:39:15
A consistent thing. 00:39:17
Right. 00:39:18
And our big. 00:39:20
Our big month is generally May Bike Month. 00:39:23
When things start getting nice and warm. 00:39:27
Any call outs? 00:39:32
Anthony, uh. 00:39:33
You know. 00:39:37
The good thing is we're. 00:39:39
We get to schedule this room and we have an outline as. 00:39:41
Jordan was saying. 00:39:45
If there's a need to cancel some. 00:39:47
We will. 00:39:50
If there's not. 00:39:51
Agenda items. 00:39:53
But. 00:39:55
Today's meeting was a very important one because of, you know, Patrick's, Patrick's presentation and also agreeing on the time for 00:39:55
next year. 00:40:00
If you all remember all this. 00:40:06
Started last year and. 00:40:08
Beginning of last year was a bit shaky. 00:40:10
Because we're still trying to get this. 00:40:12
2nd Tuesday. 00:40:15
Lined up well. 00:40:17
Now we have it ingrained in our. 00:40:18
Schedules. Umm. 00:40:21
So if you approve this. 00:40:22
It you know, it gives us a better chance of. 00:40:24
Planning better? 00:40:27
Other agenda items. 00:40:28
Perfect, Yeah. 00:40:31
So the first. 00:40:33
The first meeting, which is going to be in January, will be. 00:40:36
One where we vote on the chair and all that because based on our bylaws every year. 00:40:40
We have. 00:40:45
A new chair, it doesn't have to change, but the the Commission has to. 00:40:47
Agree that OK, we want to still have Martina because she's doing a great job. 00:40:52
Right, so nice. So. 00:40:56
The same way for the vice has to be the same. 00:41:00
If out of the blue Cameron decides OK. 00:41:03
It's his turn now. We got to turn it over to him, right? 00:41:07
So that's just how it works. We have to vote on it. They all agree that we're. 00:41:11
Gone with this new chair so that would happen in the 1st. 00:41:15
January meeting. 00:41:19
Gloves in front of her. 00:41:22
No roses only please. Just kidding, he has been so great to work with. 00:41:24
So just to add to it, since May is our big month. 00:41:36
You know, sometime earlier this year we started planning Bike Month. 00:41:40
For 2026. 00:41:45
Because I wanted to be bigger and better. 00:41:48
So I'm sure February, March is going to be big for us in planning to. 00:41:50
Make sure that we firm up all the. 00:41:57
The activities and. 00:42:00
Things that we're hoping to get. 00:42:02
Done for bike month and. 00:42:05
Projects as well. 00:42:07
The hope is to. 00:42:09
Be able to keep our meetings as short as possible. 00:42:12
An hour to an hour and a half. 00:42:15
So that we can have you show up more. 00:42:17
Rather than holding you up for four hours each time we meet. That's why we have once a month so. 00:42:19
If you all agree and have no objections to this, if you want to move anything around for any of the days, you're welcome to do 00:42:27
that. 00:42:30
But as it stands now, if. 00:42:34
Real comments I would. 00:42:37
Recommend that. 00:42:40
The Commission votes on accepting this. 00:42:42
The Schedule I move that we adopt. 00:42:47
The meeting scheduled for 2026 is presented. 00:42:50
Camera, yes. 00:42:54
All right. 00:42:57
OK. Ready to adjourn our meeting? 00:42:59
Staff report. 00:43:04
Staff report, Commission, if you guys have anything to say, anything from the staff. 00:43:05
Well, I have one thing. Before the meeting I was on the. 00:43:16
Call with our. 00:43:18
Consultant for the. 00:43:20
Active transportation update. 00:43:22
Project and the Wayfinding. We're looking to wrap this up. 00:43:23
First part of the year, next year. 00:43:28
Potentially have because we have a final draft that. 00:43:31
Staff has looked through, we've provided comments, they just tighten up. 00:43:34
The little things that needs to be done. 00:43:39
And they're going to get it to us by end of. 00:43:41
This month. 00:43:44
So let's say in January is when we can really. 00:43:45
Realistically review those updates. 00:43:48
From that point would have. 00:43:51
A public meeting. 00:43:54
To showcase this new updated. 00:43:57
Active transportation plan would that be our public meeting so the. 00:43:59
The big public meeting is going to be at City Council, but. 00:44:04
For sure, it's our plan. 00:44:09
As the ATP, so we will have a meeting. 00:44:11
Where I officially presented to you. 00:44:14
With the consultant. 00:44:17
Where? 00:44:18
You have the chance to see first. 00:44:20
Before any other Commission, even the Council gets to see it, because you've done a lot of work. 00:44:22
On this as we've been working through the project. 00:44:27
The hope is to wrap it up and get it adopted by Council. 00:44:30
Before the end of the first quarter. 00:44:36
And based on what happens in this meeting, you would recommend approval? 00:44:38
To Council. 00:44:43
So great. 00:44:45
That's one item. The second item is we're having two new commissioners. 00:44:46
Join us and. 00:44:51
That would be. 00:44:54
Doctor Neil Peterson. 00:44:56
And. 00:44:58
Rattan Edge. They will be appointed tomorrow. 00:45:00
At the City Council meeting, so you're welcome to. 00:45:04
Come and be part of that meeting. It will be in the first part of the meeting, so it should be quick. You don't have to stay the 00:45:09
whole time. What time is that at? 00:45:13
That meeting starts. 00:45:16
Usually at six. 00:45:18
Sometimes they change it to 5:30, but I can confirm and let you know after this meeting. OK, perfect. Yeah. 00:45:20
That's all I have from staff. 00:45:29
But. 00:45:31
It's been a great year. I just want to thank you all for your commitment. It's been hard in some months, but. 00:45:31
You guys have been awesome to work with. 00:45:38
I'll see that. 00:45:40
It's been a good year, it has been. 00:45:42
OK, I. 00:45:45
Move to adjourn this meeting. 00:45:48
So I have 5:20. 00:45:50
All right. Thank you. 00:45:54
Thanks you guys. 00:45:58

I call this meeting to order December 20. 00:00:00
December 9th, 2025 at 4:40 PM. 00:00:03
So. 00:00:06
First, we'll go with the Four S Bike Lane and Restriping Project presentation by. 00:00:08
Patrick in the scene. 00:00:14
And then we'll follow up by. 00:00:16
With business items for. 00:00:19
SOAP business items. We've got the 2026 ATC meeting schedule. 00:00:22
And yeah, we'll get started with Patrick. 00:00:27
Alright. 00:01:25
So yeah, we can. We can show you a little bit of. 00:01:29
About what's going on along 404 Hundred South. 00:01:32
As you probably know. 00:01:37
A lot of this has already been. 00:01:42
Put in place but. 00:01:45
We were we tried to present on this. 00:01:47
A while ago, but it didn't workout. 00:01:51
But I'll start by showing you this. 00:01:56
This plan here. 00:01:58
This is kind of what sparked a lot of the. 00:02:00
The redesign or. 00:02:04
Or the. 00:02:05
What we're trying to accomplish on on 4th South. 00:02:07
So this is the. 00:02:12
Entrance or the intersection at? 00:02:13
With Vineyard Elementary and Lakeside Park. 00:02:16
As you know. 00:02:20
The currently the. You can kind of see it in the background a little bit, the. 00:02:21
The entrance to the park. 00:02:25
Is offset. 00:02:27
From the road. 00:02:29
To the South. 00:02:31
And so it creates a very awkward. 00:02:32
Intersection and just. 00:02:35
Unsafe environment. 00:02:38
For pedestrians and vehicles. 00:02:40
And so we're working on. 00:02:43
This project. 00:02:45
In conjunction with UDOT. 00:02:47
Console engineers are the design engineers for this project, and we've also teamed with Orem City. 00:02:51
Since Orem City owns. 00:02:58
They essentially own the north half of 400 S and we own the South half. 00:03:01
They own. 00:03:07
Lakeside Park. 00:03:09
And we own. 00:03:11
The elementary school and. 00:03:12
This neighborhood down here. 00:03:14
So this is. 00:03:18
The bulk of the project is to realign. 00:03:20
Realign this intersection and then. 00:03:23
To further add. 00:03:25
Pedestrian safety were we decided to put in a traffic signal. 00:03:28
We were hoping for something like a roundabout, but it just it wasn't feasible. 00:03:33
So we landed on the traffic signal. 00:03:39
But this will. 00:03:42
This will create a much safer environment for pedestrians to to cross at this location. 00:03:43
And then? 00:03:52
I guess before I move on, are there any questions on that? 00:03:54
Yeah, yeah, it's a weird situation. 00:04:05
Then I'll go to the. 00:04:10
These striping plans here. So this is the portion that's already been implemented. 00:04:16
Like I said, we were trying to. 00:04:22
We were trying to. 00:04:23
Present on this a while ago but just didn't workout. 00:04:25
So you can kind of see. 00:04:31
The background. 00:04:35
Of these plans and as you probably all. 00:04:36
Recall. 00:04:39
Before there was a median. 00:04:41
Turn Lane. 00:04:44
In the road. 00:04:46
So it was essentially A3 lane Rd. 00:04:47
With the median. 00:04:51
Orem and we. 00:04:54
We had been trying to figure out how to create. 00:04:58
That's it. Or make this road safer and, and this was. 00:05:01
Kind of the. 00:05:05
One quick and simple. 00:05:06
Solution. 00:05:08
And so Orem kind of pushed this through. They, they put this design together and, and pushed this through and, and. 00:05:10
Got rid of that. 00:05:17
Center median and just created a 2 lane Rd. 00:05:18
With bike lanes. 00:05:22
So this is the typical. We can go through each sheet, but this is the typical. 00:05:24
Cross section. 00:05:28
All the way down the road and. 00:05:31
At this point. 00:05:34
And just for future reference. 00:05:36
We are currently designing redesigning this intersection at 400 S and Holdaway Rd. 00:05:39
And then we're currently. 00:05:46
Designing. 00:05:48
I think the widening of 400 S to the West which will connect into the holdaway. 00:05:50
Holloway fields development. 00:05:55
And so we're planning that that would. 00:05:58
That road will be widened and paved. 00:06:01
This next spring, maybe April, May. 00:06:04
Somewhere in there. 00:06:08
And so with that, we're correcting this crosswalk we're going to make. 00:06:09
We're going to straighten that crosswalk. 00:06:14
And then we're going to put a crosswalk across Holdaway Rd. as well. 00:06:17
And then the. 00:06:23
400 S to the West will look. 00:06:24
Will look pretty much this exact same cross section. 00:06:27
It'll have a park strip on the South side. 00:06:31
And then? 00:06:33
A trail on the Northside which will. 00:06:35
It just looks like a wide sidewalk, but it's. 00:06:37
Kind of a trail. 00:06:41
So it'll be the same cross section all the way through. 00:06:43
All the way through. 00:06:47
To hold away fields development. 00:06:48
With that intersection. 00:06:52
So you're saying the crosswalk we would make it actually perpendicular to? 00:06:56
Yeah. Would we change that? 00:07:01
Curb cut, That's on the. 00:07:04
South Side. 00:07:08
The bottom. 00:07:09
Of the screen here. 00:07:10
Yeah, essentially the crosswalk will now look something like this. 00:07:12
OK. And there is going to be a ramp? 00:07:17
In this area now. 00:07:20
So that we're going to put a ramp right there. 00:07:22
OK. And I believe we're changing this up so that there's more of a ramp. 00:07:25
Kind of directional ramps. 00:07:33
Yeah, great. 00:07:35
So there's going to be a ramp here and then a ramp over here. 00:07:36
And then with another crosswalk that goes. 00:07:41
Goes this way across Holdaway Rd. 00:07:44
Awesome, So something like that. So we'll remove. 00:07:48
This crosswalk and remove this ramp. 00:07:51
Just to square that all off and. 00:07:56
You can make it make sense. 00:07:59
Yeah, for sure. 00:08:01
That'll still be a. 00:08:02
Just to stop sign on. 00:08:04
On Holdaway Road. 00:08:06
Yeah, we. 00:08:09
I believe that's what it will be, just a stop sign southbound on Holdaway Road. 00:08:11
We may go through a traffic study to see if. 00:08:17
If stop signs in the other directions are warranted. 00:08:20
It's just based on traffic flow, but yeah, sure. 00:08:24
So we may go through that that exercise, but. 00:08:27
I believe right now we just have a stop sign. 00:08:31
OK. And then these? 00:08:36
Sorry, there's a lot of questions. 00:08:38
The the on street bike lanes here you're saying? 00:08:40
Those will. 00:08:43
Persist even in the. 00:08:44
Previous slide. 00:08:46
So both westward and eastward. 00:08:49
Through that new. 00:08:52
Signal. 00:08:54
Yeah, intersection. 00:08:55
It gets a little bit weird through the through the signaled intersection to the east and we can look at that a little bit. 00:08:57
But yes, to the West, we'll have a bike lane. We'll have bike lanes on on either side all the way to Main Street, Yeah. 00:09:04
To the West. 00:09:11
And then we can look at the next sheets on this. 00:09:13
To see as you as you head east, it's. 00:09:17
Essentially the same cross section. 00:09:21
Yeah, this won't. This won't show the. 00:09:24
This is the old. 00:09:30
Configuration of that intersection, so we're not showing the new one. 00:09:32
We can jump back and look at that a little bit. 00:09:38
But you can see here how. 00:09:41
How ridiculous and crazy it is, right? 00:09:43
Yeah, pretty wild. 00:09:46
Orem wanted to maintain. 00:09:49
So technically there was just this, just a kind of a side note, technically there was no legal. 00:09:52
Street parking to the West of this intersection. 00:09:58
Ever. There definitely is not now as well with the bike lanes. 00:10:01
Orem wanted to maintain from this point. 00:10:07
To the east. 00:10:11
To maintain street parking on that side. 00:10:12
For the park. 00:10:15
And then of course we have kind of this little drop off lane. 00:10:17
For this for the school. 00:10:20
Which will be maintained. 00:10:22
Yeah, parking is terrible at. 00:10:26
Yeah. So we kind of go down that way. 00:10:29
And then this is an. 00:10:34
Kind of an odd intersection as well that we've been trying to figure out. 00:10:36
What to do with this intersection as well? 00:10:42
There's other. 00:10:45
There's one more page on here. 00:10:47
So this is just leading up to Geneva. Nothing really changed. 00:10:49
Up in this area. 00:10:53
But at this intersection, we've gone through a study. 00:10:58
I believe we've received the results of this study. 00:11:02
But we haven't had time to review it. We just barely received it. 00:11:07
But we we put to. 00:11:12
We wanted to put together a study. 00:11:14
To see what. 00:11:16
What would happen if we put a crosswalk? 00:11:18
Either. 00:11:21
Right here. 00:11:22
Or a little bit to the West. 00:11:26
You know, maybe. 00:11:31
Maybe doing a crosswalk? 00:11:33
Right here, something like that. 00:11:35
I'm all over the place here. 00:11:38
Anyway, the challenges with this are. 00:11:43
The uh. 00:11:46
This parking lot here. 00:11:47
It's just kind of in a weird location with the street going to the north. 00:11:49
And the intersection at Geneva is fairly close to this intersection, so. 00:11:55
Holding up traffic. 00:12:00
Going westbound can be a challenge and. 00:12:03
But we, like I said, we went through a study to see what the feasibility of that would be. 00:12:08
We're also kind of. 00:12:15
Talking with the school. 00:12:16
To see if we can. 00:12:18
Do something different with this with this parking lot. 00:12:20
Perhaps. 00:12:24
Closing it off. 00:12:24
And doing a. 00:12:26
You can see drawn in here like another drive. 00:12:28
Driveway so that they come from. 00:12:31
The. 00:12:33
The driveway to the West and and drive into here. 00:12:34
Or just changing this to a write in write out. 00:12:39
Situation so people. 00:12:43
So we wouldn't have this left turn lane coming. 00:12:44
Crossing the entire intersection to turn left into here. 00:12:47
Things like that we're we're kind of looking at. 00:12:51
At those options. 00:12:53
But going back to this intersection, so there is a trail that exists along the north side already. 00:13:01
So that will be maintained. 00:13:09
The idea is that we can that we kind of pick up that trail. 00:13:11
And continue it on. 00:13:15
And we'll have the trail that will go all the way down. 00:13:17
To Main Street. 00:13:20
And then potentially something that goes up Holloway Rd. as well. 00:13:22
But I think with this configuration. 00:13:27
The bike lane would end up. 00:13:30
Would end up. 00:13:33
Being a shared lane through the intersection right here. 00:13:34
Welcome Which? 00:13:37
I think for safety that's that's kind of. 00:13:40
You don't have a lot of options when you're going through an intersection unless you get really fancy, but. 00:13:43
Yeah. 00:13:48
Are there any questions on this portion? 00:13:54
I think if you were to ask the average. 00:13:57
Vineyard. 00:14:01
Forum Resident. 00:14:01
There is currently a crossing at that corner. They would probably say yes. 00:14:03
I have totally done that. 00:14:08
Yeah, I I haven't reviewed the entire study, but I started to read it. 00:14:11
And it said that several people. 00:14:16
While they were doing this study, they set up a camera. 00:14:18
And they they saw. 00:14:21
Several people crossing right there. 00:14:22
And even people. 00:14:25
Parents were parking on the Northside of that road and walking their kids across the street to the school. 00:14:27
And he's and. 00:14:33
It also mentioned that during that time that they were with the camera. 00:14:35
There were several near near miss acts. Near near miss. 00:14:39
Accidents there. 00:14:43
So it's definitely a. 00:14:45
A safety hazard? Yeah, a safety hazard. There's some. 00:14:48
Something needs to be done, but it's it, like I said, it's kind of just a challenge, challenging spot, yeah. 00:14:52
I think it, I think there's. 00:14:59
An added complexity and. 00:15:00
Evening or after the sun goes down. 00:15:02
And the lights at the ballpark turn on. 00:15:05
They tend to cast. 00:15:09
There's lights and then there's tall trees and. 00:15:10
The lights cast perfectly. 00:15:13
Position very dark shadow right at. 00:15:15
Along that stretch of Rd. 00:15:19
That further exacerbates the problem. 00:15:21
You know, that's a really good comment. I can, I can talk to Orem about that. 00:15:25
Yeah, if there's. I mean, if there's not. 00:15:32
Like umm. 00:15:34
An easy Rd. 00:15:35
Reconfiguration. 00:15:38
Even just St. lighting. 00:15:39
Yeah, could help. 00:15:41
We've been trying to think of something. 00:15:44
To slow traffic down as they come off of Geneva right here. Like whether? 00:15:47
Whether it's a crosswalk or. 00:15:53
Even like some kind of monument type. 00:15:56
Type thing, you know, even just a monument off the side of the road that just catches your eye. 00:15:58
It's just just something like that. 00:16:05
That helps. 00:16:07
Drivers kind of be aware of what they're coming into. 00:16:08
Yeah. But yeah, we've we've been trying to think of. 00:16:13
Several different things, but. 00:16:16
I think we also need the flashing pedestrian lights too for that. 00:16:17
That cross, yeah, if if we do a crosswalk here, we would definitely have flashing lights for it. 00:16:22
You know, because, yeah, people really do like they come in. 00:16:28
To 4th South and just try and go straight. 00:16:32
You know, there's not much slowdown there. 00:16:35
Yeah, the hill doesn't help anything there coming down on it. 00:16:40
I actually kind of like. 00:16:45
The idea of pushing the. 00:16:47
The crosswalk back maybe over into this area, I think that's safer. 00:16:49
Yeah, with, with those, with those flashing beacon pedestrian. 00:16:54
Lights. 00:16:58
You don't. 00:17:01
Really want to have it too close to an intersection. 00:17:02
Because the cars that are. 00:17:06
That are turning. 00:17:07
Can't really see the lights. 00:17:09
And we could put up other signage saying that there's a crosswalk and things like that to try to draw their attention, but. 00:17:12
Yeah, I mean it's. 00:17:20
Yeah, we would definitely have a flashing beacon, but. 00:17:22
Like the PED crossing paint? 00:17:28
2 I don't know, just different cues for drivers. 00:17:30
Yeah. 00:17:36
We'll definitely do the crosswalk. 00:17:38
Striping, are you talking like a different color or where it just says like pad? 00:17:41
Cross Oh, like the sign, yeah. Or the just yeah, right on this. Yeah, yeah, we could do that. 00:17:46
Did you have any? 00:17:55
Comments on this Neo I think. 00:17:55
You probably use this road more than. 00:17:57
Anybody in the room here? 00:17:59
That's true. That's true. 00:18:01
Yeah, I definitely. 00:18:03
That intersection before. 00:18:05
But the back. 00:18:28
The more westward 1. 00:18:29
Takes them closer to the school. 00:18:30
Yeah, I, I think, I think. 00:18:41
1st we. 00:18:45
We'll need to review the study that we did just to see if. 00:18:46
It's feasible enough to have a crosswalk in this area. 00:18:50
Without interfering with Geneva. 00:18:54
And then we could probably dive into more details on. 00:18:56
On what the better location would be? 00:18:59
Turning left onto. 00:19:16
Oh, I see. Yeah. Oh yeah. 00:19:20
Oh right, so in this. 00:19:23
This lady go left. 00:19:25
Sometimes people go. 00:19:29
It just takes up. 00:19:32
MMM. 00:19:39
Yeah, I have heard that complaint. 00:19:41
Excuse me, I even heard that. 00:19:46
Somebody made this suggestion. 00:19:48
So this. 00:19:51
This painting is actually not what it is right now. 00:19:52
So this it used to be just a single left turn. 00:19:55
But then it got turned into a double right or a double left. 00:19:58
Turned and somebody suggested just going back to a single. 00:20:02
To reduce that confusion. 00:20:07
Uh, he seemed like he seemed to think it would work better, but. 00:20:10
I think with the volume of traffic that double left is definitely better. 00:20:14
But yeah, that's, I mean, that's a good comment. Like we can try to see if there's there's something we can do to help that out. 00:20:20
One thing that we. 00:20:29
I wasn't sure if I wanted to mention this, but. 00:20:31
This plot of land. 00:20:35
There's a potential for this plot of land. 00:20:38
To be developed and have an entrance right here. 00:20:40
But I gave them the requirement if there is an entrance, it's a write in write out. 00:20:45
Situation only. 00:20:50
And then they. 00:20:52
I would want them to put a concrete curb. 00:20:54
Along this center stripe. 00:20:56
So that people physically can't turn left out of. 00:21:01
That will help just kind of delineate a little bit. 00:21:06
Between the. 00:21:09
Between the different lanes and kind of create some safety there. 00:21:10
Probably wouldn't really help much for pedestrians or. 00:21:15
The queuing but. 00:21:18
Just thought I'd point that out. 00:21:21
Yeah. Is there any possibility of? 00:21:25
Of cutting it out a little bit. 00:21:28
So that we could have. 00:21:31
A little expansion on the lanes. 00:21:33
I don't know. 00:21:36
If that would be weird. 00:21:36
But expansion of so making the left turn lanes wider. 00:21:39
Add the right. 00:21:44
So let's see. 00:21:47
Right now, that right turn lane. 00:21:49
Right. Yeah, Yeah, that's because of this slope, yeah. 00:21:55
Maybe this is where you're saying? 00:21:59
The corner, yeah. 00:22:03
Yep. 00:22:11
I could look into. 00:22:23
I think what would help the most, at least for the vehicle queuing is if we if we expect if we widened it back here. 00:22:29
And I'd have to look into it, but I. 00:22:38
I don't know if we'd be able to. 00:22:41
To do anything. 00:22:43
On that end. 00:22:45
Like this? 00:22:50
Oh yeah. 00:22:59
You don't just. 00:23:03
Doesn't do like roundabouts at intersections like this. 00:23:05
Is that just the? 00:23:10
Not something that they're. 00:23:12
They're ever interested in. 00:23:13
Something like that. 00:23:15
No. Well. 00:23:17
So I I originally thought that you dot would. 00:23:20
Would have more more of an opinion actually on this intersection than they than they. 00:23:23
Do because. 00:23:28
It is very close to Geneva. 00:23:30
But they kind of. 00:23:33
Have taken the stance whatever. 00:23:35
Whatever, you guys get it to work. 00:23:37
It's your intersection pretty much. 00:23:39
But there there is a concern with putting a roundabout or a traffic light at this intersection because you you probably will get 00:23:43
back up. 00:23:47
When cars are stopped here, they'll they'll back up to Geneva. 00:23:53
And you would think that. 00:23:57
You know roundabouts. 00:23:58
Try to keep flowing. 00:24:00
But there will. 00:24:02
Inherently be back up still. 00:24:03
No, Plus roundabouts take up a lot of property. 00:24:06
Like I'm not sure if we would be able to. 00:24:12
Fit 1 here. 00:24:13
We've tried to fit in roundabouts at other intersections and it's just kind of surprising how much property you need. 00:24:16
And it it just. 00:24:22
It's never been feasible. 00:24:24
We've tried. 00:24:27
We were, I think I mentioned we were looking at doing a roundabout here. 00:24:28
But you'd end up having to put a roundabout like way up into this space. 00:24:32
And you know, we had space here, but it would have. 00:24:38
Increase the cost quite a bit. 00:24:41
Yeah, we were looking at doing a roundabout at. 00:24:43
600 N and. 00:24:48
Main Street, but we couldn't fit one there either. 00:24:50
But fortunately, we're able to do this, the traffic light there. 00:24:53
Yeah, yeah. 00:24:57
The other question I had so that. 00:25:04
Property on the corner. 00:25:06
We talked about their. 00:25:08
Parking there. 00:25:11
That's a different property than. 00:25:12
The one directly West of it, right there's. 00:25:14
Correct. Yeah. 00:25:17
That my understanding is this field right here is owned by the school. 00:25:18
So they use it as soccer fields. 00:25:22
And so you can kind of see a fence line right here. 00:25:25
So that delineates the properties. 00:25:29
I see. 00:25:32
Yeah, yeah. So maybe a. 00:25:33
I was thinking someday that would be developed but sounds like no. 00:25:36
Yeah, I can peruse the county. 00:25:40
Man. 00:25:44
But yeah, they're they're different. 00:25:45
Pretty sure that. 00:25:47
Field is owned by the school. 00:25:49
Yeah. 00:25:52
So it shows the school property going all the way to. 00:25:53
To that empty lot. 00:25:56
What are you thinking of? 00:26:08
Well, I was just thinking if. 00:26:10
At that point. 00:26:11
If, if that were to be developed and. 00:26:13
Maybe we could. 00:26:16
Rearrange to have. 00:26:17
The entrance to both parking lots be in a better spot but. 00:26:20
There's not going to be parking lot there. 00:26:24
Yeah, we were. We were even looking at the option of. 00:26:26
Instead of having. 00:26:30
Instead of having the entrance to the parking lot right here to actually line it up. 00:26:31
With the intersection and. 00:26:37
Kind of do something like that. 00:26:39
But there I think there was number interest in. 00:26:41
Taking up that space at all. 00:26:44
Yeah, because it would cut cut into their fields. 00:26:46
Now. 00:26:50
People are very protective of soccer fields. 00:26:53
I guess a resident that uses this road a lot. Have you seen? 00:26:59
Any concerns with the with this new striping? 00:27:03
Like how it's striped currently. 00:27:08
The only concern I. 00:27:11
Those. 00:27:28
I'll encroach it to that. 00:27:34
Is that like like a traffic signal timing thing that we could just ask UDOT to adjust? 00:27:36
The the timing of how long people. 00:27:44
Wait at the left. 00:27:46
Yeah, it really, it really doesn't seem like, I mean, anytime that I've sat and waited at that intersection, doesn't seem like 00:27:51
there's ever that much. 00:27:55
Backup on Geneva northbound. 00:28:00
Or even Southband. 00:28:02
Yeah. So that is a good point. We. 00:28:04
We can we can request. 00:28:07
You dot to to take a look at it. 00:28:10
And they mentioned a even like a safety. 00:28:12
Can't remember where they called it but. 00:28:16
They can do a safety analysis on it as well. 00:28:20
For pedestrian use and whatnot. 00:28:24
I think we can make that request, but I feel like changing. 00:28:28
Changing the timing. 00:28:32
That that's very different from the ordinary is, is something that UDOT kind of frowns upon. 00:28:37
They they kind of look at. 00:28:43
There. So if it's like a Saturday morning congestion type thing, they're like well. 00:28:44
We can live with it if it's just. 00:28:48
One time a week, you know. 00:28:50
Sure. 00:28:52
So they they kind of push back on. 00:28:54
Getting too crazy with it. 00:28:57
OK, but we can talk to him about it. 00:28:59
Yeah. 00:29:02
Really. What? 00:29:05
They should just stagger. 00:29:12
I mean they really pack in events. 00:29:16
When my kids go there. 00:29:20
Everybody. 00:29:22
Like all of the deals? 00:29:23
That's helpful for a lot. 00:29:32
By doing that in chunks. 00:29:38
Yeah. 00:29:43
We might. We might be able to. 00:29:45
Add some some extra stripe. 00:29:47
Kind of doing this situation maybe? 00:29:50
I'm not sure if Orem will go for it. 00:29:53
Or, umm. 00:29:55
Or if it would be very handy, but. 00:29:58
Maybe that would keep people more in the travel lane and out of the bike lane. Maybe. 00:30:01
As they're stacking up. 00:30:06
We can look at that. 00:30:11
Another thing to kind of mention is. 00:30:13
We've really tried to push Orem to address parking issues at Lakeside. 00:30:20
At the Lakeside Park. 00:30:25
And there's. 00:30:27
There's plans to extend their. 00:30:29
Their parking lot into this area. 00:30:31
Over here. 00:30:35
I believe Vineyard actually I should go to this map. 00:30:38
Yeah, so Vineyard actually owns that piece. 00:30:45
So we'll we're. 00:30:49
Working with them to. 00:30:51
To do a land swap or something. 00:30:54
So that they can build. 00:30:56
They can build parking into this space. 00:30:59
That part is right. 00:31:03
I know that was. 00:31:06
Unofficially open I think. 00:31:08
Yeah, I think they just opened it and. 00:31:10
Yeah. 00:31:17
Would be another. 00:31:19
Yeah, they use it for storage, yeah. 00:31:26
Yeah, that has that has been brought up with Orem as well, like. 00:31:29
Potentially, uh. 00:31:33
Putting parking in there. 00:31:35
And then we've been really trying to push them to program. 00:31:37
Actual parking along Vineyard Rd. 00:31:42
That would be great just. 00:31:45
Everybody parks along there anyway, just the free. But yeah, it's a free floor. 00:31:46
Yeah, we thought of that. You know, maybe we get rid of the median lane and and put diagonals on the one side. 00:31:53
To add a lot of parking there. 00:32:00
Especially they did like the back end diagonals. 00:32:03
Yeah, you can actually. 00:32:06
See you when you're pulling out. 00:32:09
Yeah, I honestly don't think there's. 00:32:10
There's probably not a lot of traffic coming into these businesses along here so now. 00:32:13
There's not. 00:32:19
But the the real issue. 00:32:21
Kind of with that is people will park. 00:32:23
Along the street, all the way up into this curve and then. 00:32:25
They're parking on the road and it's. 00:32:28
So it's a nuisance. 00:32:30
Yeah, that. 00:32:32
Curve is hard to. 00:32:33
Navigate. 00:32:36
There's a ton of parking. 00:32:40
Because I feel like I've just been rambling on for a while, but. 00:32:42
Because are there any other questions or? 00:32:44
It's fascinating stuff. 00:32:48
It really, it really is impactful. 00:32:50
On the. 00:32:52
Citizens, Yeah. 00:32:54
Yeah, for sure. 00:32:56
Yeah. I mean, I think that's about all that I have. 00:32:59
Yeah, I think. 00:33:04
Parting shot is reiteration. 00:33:05
I think we. 00:33:08
If we don't end up doing a crosswalk. 00:33:09
There where we have on screen and I feel like. 00:33:11
We need better signage. 00:33:14
Dissuade people from crossing there because it is. 00:33:16
Pretty intuitive to. 00:33:20
Park and cross the road. 00:33:22
Probably there. 00:33:24
I I doubt many people are. 00:33:27
Even considering the risks when the. 00:33:30
When they're doing that and and definitely fewer considering. 00:33:33
Walking farther West across even at our new and improved intersection there. 00:33:37
Which is a great intersection. 00:33:41
But. 00:33:43
Yeah, I think. 00:33:45
Yeah, yeah. I was going to say, I think that's. 00:33:47
Yeah, that's where Sienna. 00:33:50
Crossing. 00:33:52
Yeah, it doesn't take long to. 00:33:54
Sit there and watch. 00:33:56
People's behavior and see a bunch of people crossing there and. 00:33:57
A bunch of. 00:34:01
High risk situations. 00:34:02
When I read the reports that said that. 00:34:06
Parents park on that side and cross with their kids. That that shocked me. 00:34:08
I was, I was like, there's no way I would. 00:34:12
Do that. 00:34:14
You know, like. 00:34:16
Like even if I was walking with my kids like I I wouldn't. 00:34:17
Go through that hassle parking on the opposite side of the road and crossing. 00:34:21
Especially where there is no crosswalk like. 00:34:26
That that seems crazy to me. 00:34:29
I think people see the immediacy of. 00:34:31
And available parking spot in that parking lot. 00:34:33
And the realization that, oh, this is a school parking lot, I can use this, and it's better than going and spending five more 00:34:37
minutes looking for a parking spot in the bigger parking lot. 00:34:41
Yeah, that's the underlying issue. There's not enough. 00:34:46
Parking. 00:34:50
I have heard that people will park in the parking lot at the park. 00:34:51
And their kids will walk. 00:34:54
Over there to. 00:34:56
To get picked up. 00:34:57
Which? 00:35:00
That one doesn't seem as crazy because there is an official crosswalk there, but. 00:35:00
Still, that's. 00:35:05
You know, it's like a way to way and. 00:35:07
We've got a comment from Anthony. 00:35:11
Thank you. I just wanted to add to what Patrick is. 00:35:16
Just explain to all of us. 00:35:19
A lot of coordination. 00:35:22
Has gone into this. 00:35:23
To get just. 00:35:25
You know these lines on the? 00:35:26
Map that you see right here. 00:35:29
It's been. 00:35:31
A lot of meetings. 00:35:32
Engineering team has been wonderful. 00:35:33
Coordinating with planning. 00:35:35
And also. 00:35:37
Udot and you know. 00:35:39
Of course, ARM. 00:35:41
So to get to this point. 00:35:43
I must say that staff. 00:35:45
You know, on behalf of. 00:35:48
Planning department staff is. 00:35:49
Really done a lot of work, especially engineering. 00:35:52
And I want you to know all that effort. That's amazing. 00:35:54
You know, give it up for Patrick and. 00:35:58
You're giving me way too much credit. No, but it's. 00:36:01
Yeah, you, you, you know what's going into it. 00:36:04
Yeah, yeah, it's been weeks and, you know, months of a lot of conversation, conversations. 00:36:06
Yeah, but it's a, it's a unique. 00:36:14
Corridor you have. 00:36:15
You know parts of the. 00:36:17
Land owned by UDOT you have parts of it being owned by. 00:36:19
Vineyard, UMM. 00:36:22
And. 00:36:23
Arm, you know. 00:36:25
And it's in a part of our. 00:36:26
If you take away the park, they don't really care as much. 00:36:29
Because it doesn't affect the bulk of the people that vote for them. 00:36:33
If you think about it that way. 00:36:38
But it means a lot to us because it's a gateway to our city. 00:36:40
So just getting that team together is very challenging but. 00:36:45
It's been successful. 00:36:50
Yeah. 00:36:52
Just so you know, thank you. Can't too much credit. 00:36:53
Make a huge difference, definitely. 00:36:59
Well, thank you. 00:37:02
And it's even going to be better when you see what we have for. 00:37:04
Holdaway Rd. I mean. 00:37:07
For 400 S going into hold away. 00:37:09
Fields development. 00:37:12
It's going to be great. 00:37:14
And I know Patrick is going to be back. 00:37:17
With Naseem talking about that. 00:37:19
As well, Yeah. 00:37:21
That is, you know, in Vineyard, it's a vineyard project, so. 00:37:22
We don't need to work too much with. 00:37:27
Them. But the most important thing is. 00:37:29
This one here is so. 00:37:32
So crucial because. 00:37:34
If we don't get this right, it makes everyone. 00:37:36
Everything else that's happening on the West side. 00:37:39
Not work well. Mm-hmm. 00:37:41
But if we get this right as. 00:37:43
You know, working towards. 00:37:45
Doing right now. 00:37:47
It makes. 00:37:48
What's going to happen on the West Side going into? 00:37:49
Connection to Main Street and you know. 00:37:53
The whole holdaway. 00:37:57
Development and Sleepy Ridge area. 00:38:00
It will make, you know, make so much sense when it all comes together. 00:38:02
I know Patrick will be back with. 00:38:06
The plants because we have a lot going on. 00:38:08
You know, from the staff level. 00:38:12
When working with property owners, that's holdaway fields as well. 00:38:14
To make sure that. 00:38:18
That stretch of. 00:38:20
The road is. 00:38:22
Planned well. 00:38:24
And it takes into consideration. 00:38:25
The needs of. 00:38:28
Everybody. 00:38:30
Not just the roads. 00:38:31
So right. 00:38:32
It's going to be great. 00:38:34
It's a great time to be here in Vineyard. Yep, it is. 00:38:36
All right, so the next item is. 00:38:41
Adopting the 2026. 00:38:45
Meeting calendar. 00:38:48
So we've got every second Tuesday. 00:38:50
Of the month. 00:38:55
Does that sound good to you guys? 00:38:56
Yeah, I think it's worked pretty well this year. I think there's probably some tacit understanding that we. 00:39:00
Will likely cancel a few of these. 00:39:08
As the year progresses? Mm-hmm. 00:39:11
But I think it's easier to play in. 00:39:15
A consistent thing. 00:39:17
Right. 00:39:18
And our big. 00:39:20
Our big month is generally May Bike Month. 00:39:23
When things start getting nice and warm. 00:39:27
Any call outs? 00:39:32
Anthony, uh. 00:39:33
You know. 00:39:37
The good thing is we're. 00:39:39
We get to schedule this room and we have an outline as. 00:39:41
Jordan was saying. 00:39:45
If there's a need to cancel some. 00:39:47
We will. 00:39:50
If there's not. 00:39:51
Agenda items. 00:39:53
But. 00:39:55
Today's meeting was a very important one because of, you know, Patrick's, Patrick's presentation and also agreeing on the time for 00:39:55
next year. 00:40:00
If you all remember all this. 00:40:06
Started last year and. 00:40:08
Beginning of last year was a bit shaky. 00:40:10
Because we're still trying to get this. 00:40:12
2nd Tuesday. 00:40:15
Lined up well. 00:40:17
Now we have it ingrained in our. 00:40:18
Schedules. Umm. 00:40:21
So if you approve this. 00:40:22
It you know, it gives us a better chance of. 00:40:24
Planning better? 00:40:27
Other agenda items. 00:40:28
Perfect, Yeah. 00:40:31
So the first. 00:40:33
The first meeting, which is going to be in January, will be. 00:40:36
One where we vote on the chair and all that because based on our bylaws every year. 00:40:40
We have. 00:40:45
A new chair, it doesn't have to change, but the the Commission has to. 00:40:47
Agree that OK, we want to still have Martina because she's doing a great job. 00:40:52
Right, so nice. So. 00:40:56
The same way for the vice has to be the same. 00:41:00
If out of the blue Cameron decides OK. 00:41:03
It's his turn now. We got to turn it over to him, right? 00:41:07
So that's just how it works. We have to vote on it. They all agree that we're. 00:41:11
Gone with this new chair so that would happen in the 1st. 00:41:15
January meeting. 00:41:19
Gloves in front of her. 00:41:22
No roses only please. Just kidding, he has been so great to work with. 00:41:24
So just to add to it, since May is our big month. 00:41:36
You know, sometime earlier this year we started planning Bike Month. 00:41:40
For 2026. 00:41:45
Because I wanted to be bigger and better. 00:41:48
So I'm sure February, March is going to be big for us in planning to. 00:41:50
Make sure that we firm up all the. 00:41:57
The activities and. 00:42:00
Things that we're hoping to get. 00:42:02
Done for bike month and. 00:42:05
Projects as well. 00:42:07
The hope is to. 00:42:09
Be able to keep our meetings as short as possible. 00:42:12
An hour to an hour and a half. 00:42:15
So that we can have you show up more. 00:42:17
Rather than holding you up for four hours each time we meet. That's why we have once a month so. 00:42:19
If you all agree and have no objections to this, if you want to move anything around for any of the days, you're welcome to do 00:42:27
that. 00:42:30
But as it stands now, if. 00:42:34
Real comments I would. 00:42:37
Recommend that. 00:42:40
The Commission votes on accepting this. 00:42:42
The Schedule I move that we adopt. 00:42:47
The meeting scheduled for 2026 is presented. 00:42:50
Camera, yes. 00:42:54
All right. 00:42:57
OK. Ready to adjourn our meeting? 00:42:59
Staff report. 00:43:04
Staff report, Commission, if you guys have anything to say, anything from the staff. 00:43:05
Well, I have one thing. Before the meeting I was on the. 00:43:16
Call with our. 00:43:18
Consultant for the. 00:43:20
Active transportation update. 00:43:22
Project and the Wayfinding. We're looking to wrap this up. 00:43:23
First part of the year, next year. 00:43:28
Potentially have because we have a final draft that. 00:43:31
Staff has looked through, we've provided comments, they just tighten up. 00:43:34
The little things that needs to be done. 00:43:39
And they're going to get it to us by end of. 00:43:41
This month. 00:43:44
So let's say in January is when we can really. 00:43:45
Realistically review those updates. 00:43:48
From that point would have. 00:43:51
A public meeting. 00:43:54
To showcase this new updated. 00:43:57
Active transportation plan would that be our public meeting so the. 00:43:59
The big public meeting is going to be at City Council, but. 00:44:04
For sure, it's our plan. 00:44:09
As the ATP, so we will have a meeting. 00:44:11
Where I officially presented to you. 00:44:14
With the consultant. 00:44:17
Where? 00:44:18
You have the chance to see first. 00:44:20
Before any other Commission, even the Council gets to see it, because you've done a lot of work. 00:44:22
On this as we've been working through the project. 00:44:27
The hope is to wrap it up and get it adopted by Council. 00:44:30
Before the end of the first quarter. 00:44:36
And based on what happens in this meeting, you would recommend approval? 00:44:38
To Council. 00:44:43
So great. 00:44:45
That's one item. The second item is we're having two new commissioners. 00:44:46
Join us and. 00:44:51
That would be. 00:44:54
Doctor Neil Peterson. 00:44:56
And. 00:44:58
Rattan Edge. They will be appointed tomorrow. 00:45:00
At the City Council meeting, so you're welcome to. 00:45:04
Come and be part of that meeting. It will be in the first part of the meeting, so it should be quick. You don't have to stay the 00:45:09
whole time. What time is that at? 00:45:13
That meeting starts. 00:45:16
Usually at six. 00:45:18
Sometimes they change it to 5:30, but I can confirm and let you know after this meeting. OK, perfect. Yeah. 00:45:20
That's all I have from staff. 00:45:29
But. 00:45:31
It's been a great year. I just want to thank you all for your commitment. It's been hard in some months, but. 00:45:31
You guys have been awesome to work with. 00:45:38
I'll see that. 00:45:40
It's been a good year, it has been. 00:45:42
OK, I. 00:45:45
Move to adjourn this meeting. 00:45:48
So I have 5:20. 00:45:50
All right. Thank you. 00:45:54
Thanks you guys. 00:45:58
