1.        CALL TO ORDER/INVOCATION/INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

Play >>  Chair Julie Fullmer began the meeting at 6:03pm.

 

Play >>  Lt. Holden Rockwell led a moment of silence for Police Sgt. Bill Hooser of the Santaquin Police department.

 

Play >> Anthony Jenkins presented on bike week and was awarded for his service on the Planning Commission by Chair Fullmer.

Play >>  Motion: BOARDMEMBER SIFUENTES MOVED TO APPROVE CONSENT ITEMS 3.1 AND 3.2. BOARDMEMBER CAMERON SECONDED THE MOTION. CHAIR FULLMER, BOARDMEMBERS CAMERON, HOLDAWAY, AND SIFUENTES VOTED YES. BOARDMEMBER RASMUSSEN WAS EXCUSED. THE MOTION CARRIED WITH ONE ABSENT.

 

 

4.        BUSINESS ITEMS

4.1.   Discussion and Action - Proposed Tentative Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget

RDA Director Josh Daniels will present the Tentative Fiscal Year 2024-2025 RDA Budget. The RDA Board will act to adopt (or deny) the proposed tentative budget and set a public hearing for May 22, 2024.

 

Play >> RDA Director Josh Daniels presented a general overview of the tentative budget.

 

Play >> Boardmember Holdaway asked about items listed in the budget and wanted to know if there was a way to get a more detailed breakdown. Mr. Daniels explained this was just a presentation of the tentative budget and that more specific line items would be included in any final budget documents.

 

Play >> Chair Fullmer outlined the timeline for finalizing the budget and the steps that were taken during the process of adopting a final budget, including a public hearing.  

 

Play >> Motion: BOARDMEMBER SIFUENTES MOVED TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED TENTATIVE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 RDA BUDGET AS PRESENTED. WITH A PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR MAY 22ND 2024. BOARDMEMBER CAMERON SECONDED THE MOTION. CHAIR FULLMER, BOARDMEMBERS CAMERON AND SIFUENTES VOTED YES, AND BOARDMEMBER HOLDAWAY VOTED NO. BOARDMEMBER RASMUSSEN WAS EXCUSED. THE MOTION CARRIED WITH ONE ABSENT.

           

Play >> Boardmember Cameron wanted further discussion on the process. Chair Fullmer answered questions about the process and there was a discussion about the process before the vote for the motion was finished.
